Ragen Chastain is an internationally recognized thought leader in the fields of self-esteem, body image, Health at Every Size, and corporate wellness—subjects about which she speaks and writes full time. She has spoken at venues ranging from Google Headquarters to Cal Tech to the National Multi-Service Eating Disorder Conference. She is the writer of the blog Dances with Fat, and the author of Fat: The Owner’s Manual. She edited the Praeger anthology The Politics of Size, and serves on the Editorial Board for Fat Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Body Weight and Society. She is the co-founder of the Fat Activism Conference (now in its fourth year) and of the Fit Fatties Forum, which has more than six thousand members.
